The Institute for Computer Science and Control (in short SZTAKI, Hungarian: Számítástechnikai és Automatizálási Kutatóintézet) is a Hungarian research institute in Budapest, founded in 1964. Its primary tasks include basic and application-oriented research in an interdisciplinary setting in the fields of engineering, computer science, information technology, intelligent systems as well as process control, multimedia and wide area networking. Further tasks of SZTAKI include training, contract-based target research, development and expert support for domestic and foreign industrial, governmental and other partners. The institute also operates a public advice service on knowledge-transfer of up-to-date research results and state-of-the-art technology to university students.[5] SZTAKI has wide external relationships and different groups within the institute work on projects for well-known international and Hungarian companies and the number of European Union projects is also impressing. Its staff has more than 300 full-time employees.
Technische Universität Berlin (TU Berlin) is a university of excellence and one of the most renowned universities in Germany. The university alumni and staff include ten Nobel Prize laureates, several US National Academies members, two National Medal of Science laureates and the creator of the first fully functional programmable (electromechanical) computer, Konrad Zuse. TU Berlin is a member of TU9, an incorporated society of the largest and most notable German institutes of technology and of the Top International Managers in Engineering network, which allows for student exchanges between leading engineering schools. It belongs to the Conference of European Schools for Advanced Engineering Education and Research. Within Swarmchestrate, TU Berlin is represented by the Distributed and Operating Systems (DOS) department, founded in 2006 by Prof. Dr. Odej Kao. The department conducts research in the development and development of AI-based methods for the secure, efficient and fault-tolerant operation of complex IT infrastructures with quality of service guarantees.
The Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) was founded in 1992, following a roadmap to support the performance of top-quality research, development activities and the provision of scientific service to private and public bodies. The mission of ICCS is to support the deployment, the realization and the growth of the research priorities of ECE mainly through seeking, pursuing and acquiring research funding via the competitive calls for research proposals that the European Commission had instigated. In turn its purpose has been to build a research personnel base alongside ECE’s faculty so as to conduct state-of-the-art research and at the same time improve the research laboratory equipment base and infrastructures of the School. Furthermore, ICCS has been organized so as to host and to provide research stipends to postgraduate students and post-doctoral researchers.
Tampere University (Finnish: Tampereen yliopisto, shortened TAU) is a multidisclipinary public university located in the city of Tampere, Finland. It is the second largest university in the country by student enrollment. The university was established on January 1st, 2019, as a merger between the former University of Tampere and Tampere University of Technology. The new university is also the major shareholder of Tampere University of Applied Sciences.
The Institute for Innovation and Development of University of Ljubljana (short name: IRI UL) is a private non-profit research institute, headquartered in Ljubljana, Slovenia and led by Prof Andrej Gubina, PhD. IRI UL has been an associate member of the University of Ljubljana since 2009.

It was founded in 2001 as a startup of the Department of Software Engineering of the University of Szeged, currently it has more than 40employees. Its main competences include software development, testing, simulation and source code analysis, with the focus on emerging technologies, such as AI, IoT and cloud-based systems. The company has taken major roles in the realization of the AssureMOSS EU H2020, and the AI4CYBER EU Horizon projects.

The CPC is specialized in developing solutions for the optimal utilization of distributed computing architectures, such as cloud, fog and edge computing resources, and science and business gateways. The CPC has participated in 13 EU funded projects during the past 10 years, including both core distributed computing related research, and also applied research in application areas such as space physics, healthcare and manufacturing.
